  Role Summary Our Pen Nib Makers demonstrate the operation of museum fly presses, allowing visitors to create their own souvenir nib.

Throughout the demonstration, the nib makers educate visitors on nib design, the technical process, and the lives of the women working as nib makers.  

Duties:   Delivering a demonstration on our fly presses

Delivering a history of our museum

Highlighting our collection to our visitors

Highlight the lives of our workers

Can prioritise and understand the importance of health and safety of yourself and visitors.

Have strong attention to detail.Have the ability to learn facts and teach others.

Have confidence in speaking in front of groups.

Have an interest in industrial history, working class history, and metalwork.
  Extra InformationAll volunteers given the necessary training to be successful at this role, which includes a volunteer handbook and guidance from experienced volunteers.

Flexible around your schedule -we do not require a minimum set of hours volunteering but would ask that you try to volunteer once a month.
