Manuscript Pen Company are celebrating the success of the second World Calligraphy Day across the world.

The renowned pen manufacturer celebrated the popular craft at The Pen Museum, as people put pen to paper both in Birmingham and throughout the globe on the second World Calligraphy Day.

There were a selection of free workshops curated by renowned calligraphers from throughout the globe.

Whilst Birmingham was filled with keen writers, the press and social media was abuzz with beginners and more experienced calligraphers of all ages celebrating the craft and encouraging other’s to take out their pens and inkwells.

The event was featured on BBC Midlands Today and Radio WM.

The hashtag #WorldCalligraphyDay trended on Twitter throughout the day.

Charlie Stockbridge, Managing Director of Manuscript Pen Company, and Pen Museum Trustee celebrated the success of World Calligraphy Day and looked forward to the next one.

“Calligraphy is a really hot topic and definitely on trend. World Calligraphy Day celebrated the best of the craft and, with the numbers we’ve reached, we hope that people will continue to put pen to paper in the years to come.
