Nueland Script

Nueland Script Workshop

Sheila Smith

This script was developed from the typeface developed by Rudolf Koch in 1923. Although nearly 100 years old many calligraphers today use it for decorating posters and cards. You will learn how to drawn these quirky, block letters and cut them out. You can build up a stock of different sized letters which you can use over and over again as stencils to form your own words on posters or cards etc. If you like Zentangle decoration you will love the way that these letters lend themselves so easily to this type of decoration. We also spend some time looking at how to turn these letters into ‘shadow’ letters to add an additional dimension to your designs.

Materials will be provided and our gift shop stocks a range of calligraphy products available for purchase on the day to take home with you.

Refunds up to 7 days before event.

Lunch is not provided, however you may bring some lunch if you wish.

Museum admission is not included.
