Calligrapher: Dr Yujun(June) Xu

Dr Yujun(June) Xu is a Calligrapher and intercultural artist who has delivered a number of creative ink, brush and calligraphy workshops across the UK and China. Her workshop series ranges from healing, meditation and self-reflection, to intercultural chinese writing communication and art co-creation.

In this particular workshop, you are invited to discover the meditative beauty of Chinese brush calligraphy. In this creative workshop we will be exploring the theme of “Flow” — inspired by Taoist philosophy, mindfulness, and the rhythm of breath and movement.

This hands-on session is designed for beginners of all cultural backgrounds — no prior knowledge of Chinese language or calligraphy is required.

Participants will write meaningful characters on handmade calligraphy paper using traditional soft brushes and ink, guided by an artist who works across intercultural practice and expressive arts.

Leave with a one-of-a-kind artwork and a sense of calm.

Event also includes admission to the museum.
